Local Talent To Compete At June 15, 2005 This year California Shitoryu Karate is sending a team of 5 students to compete at one of the largest competitions in the world. It's the Kobe Osaka International World Cup and Training Camp, this year held in Moscow, Russia from July 4-11. This is a huge competition with over 40 countries in attendance and an expected 1,000-1,500 competitors fighting for their respective countries. KOI is run by Master Tommy Morris - World Karate Federation Referees Council Chairman and President of Kobe Osaka International.
Congratulations to the California Shitoryu Karate students who will be attending. In the junior divisions Phillip & Adrian Edmundson will be representing the club and country, while in the adult divisions, Colby Matthews, Christina & Jason Stanley will be fighting it out for the KOI World Cup title.
